Beat The Heat With These Cocktails For The Summer
A vacation, staycation, or a cozy weekend, without cocktails, is incomplete and those happy highs are a necessity.

In the summer months, when the heat gets to your head, these delicious drinks will keep you cool. One of the best things about summers is that you can sit back with a drink and enjoy – while doing nothing else!
Making cocktails is an art and you need to practice to master the art form. We have curated some easy and popular summer cocktail recipes that you can make at home. But remember, it is important to have the right bar tools.
Long Island Iced Tea - The perfect mix of all the poisons!
What You Need:
- ½ oz. gin
- ½ oz. vodka
- ½ oz. silver tequila
- ½ oz. white rum
- ½ oz. Cointreau
- ½ oz. lemon juice
- ¾ oz. Coke (any cola)
- 2 tsp sugar syrup
- Ice
LIIT is perfect after a long and tiring day. Use a shaker to mix all ingredients (except Coke). Add crushed ice into a Collins glass (or any other long glass). Then use a strainer to pour the mix. Add coke, and garnish with lemon (optional).
Margarita - Makes your day!
What You Need:
- 2 oz. silver tequila
- 1 oz. lemon juice
- Salt
- 1 oz. Cointreau
- Ice
Get a cocktail glass and chill it in the freezer. In the meanwhile, in a cocktail shaker, add tequila, lemon juice, Cointreau and ice. Shake vigorously for a few minutes.
Take the glass out from the freezer, rub its rim with lemon juice and dip the rim in salt. Add some ice cubes and pour the mix from the shaker using a strainer. Voila!
Mojito - Who doesn't like a good Mojito?
What You Need:
- 2 oz. white rum
- ½ oz. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. powdered sugar
- Club soda
- 4-5 mint leaves
- Ice
Using a muddler, muddle sugar and lemon juice in a glass. Add the mint leaves and press them to the side of the glass. Add ice cubes, white rum, and lemon slice. Pour club soda. That's all!
Piña Colada - Synonymous with a getaway!
What You Need:
- 2 oz. rum
- 3 oz. pineapple juice (unsweetened) or crushed pineapple
- 1 oz. coconut cream
- Ice
Add 5-6 ice cubes, rum, pineapple juice (or crushed fruit), and coconut cream in a blender. Blend on high for a few minutes.
Pour in any tall glass.
You can also garnish it with a pineapple slice or cherries.
